Arlington was established as a city in 1903 and is a part of Snohomish County. Just east of Camano Island on Highway 532 and North of Seattle 40 miles, there is always something to explore around the city of Arlington. This city used to be dependent on timber harvesting and timber products and was once called the "Shingle Capital of the World" because of the shingle mills, sawmills, and logging camps in the vicinity. Residents are proud to enjoy the natural resources that the river brings, as well as the views along the river and the snow capped mountains. This small city is right off of the I-5 Freeway and great for commuting to work or exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest. If you are looking for a place close to the city but in a small town, there is a home or condo for sale in Arlington.
