Home to the largest building in the world - Boeing’s assembly port - Everett is also home to the largest public marina on the west coast. The city is just 25 miles north of Seattle and has a population of over 104,600, making it the sixth largest city in the state. Along with winning the All-American City Award in 2002, there are 19 established neighborhood associations that have unique and admirable aspects to them. Everett is made up of a total of 48.49 square miles and happens to be home to over 40 parks, with the biggest one, Walter E. Hall Park, consisting of 137 acres. There is also the Everett Arboretum and Gardens that is made up of 2.4 acres of gorgeous multi-colored flowers and green luscious plants and trees at the south end of Legion Park.
The city is well-connected with many different transportation options and Interstate 5 passes by the city, which allows simple freeway access.The Everett waterfront is home to the Naval Station Everett as well as the Port of Everett that includes a commercial seaport and a marina with over 2000 slips. There are also numerous schools throughout the Everett area, consisting of mainly the Everett School District, but also a small portion of them that are with the Mukilteo School District. There are also many different colleges to choose from, along with two universities, Western Washington and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical, that have incorporated locations distinct to the Everett area.
