Lake Stevens is in Snohomish county and is north of Snohomish, east of Everett and southeast of Marysville. The city was incorporated in November of 1960, but has a history that goes back a century with mills and timber. In the 20s to the 50s after the mill burnt down for a second time, the town was a resort community. Now the city is a suburban community with schools, parks and, of course, the beautiful Lake Stevens. Lake Stevens is the largest lake in Snohomish County- 1,000 acres and 8 miles of shoreline. Seattle is less than 40 miles away, and with the I-5 Freeway, Route 2, Highways 9 and 204, there are so many ways to get there! These highways and freeways are great for families that want the peaceful home life, while still being able to commute to work or explore the surrounding areas.
