The Westwood neighborhood of Seattle is a quiet, predominately residential area of the city with a modestly sized commercial district. Nearby neighborhoods include White Center, Fauntleroy and Highland Park. Real estate listings in this area are about half of the median for Seattle as a whole. Convenient to public transit, the Westwood area is served by Metro KC bus routes 120 (Delridge), 22 (Thistle from 35th Avenue to Westwood Village) and 21 (35th Avenue). The Chief Sealth High/Denny International School is located in the neighborhood, as are the Southwest Pool and Sports Complex and popular Westwood Village. Westwood provides the convenience of being close to the lively White Center without the same degree of noise or traffic issues as White Center residents must endure. Visitors should enjoy a taco at the Mexican food stand Taqueria La Fondita #2 or one of the best slices in all of Seattle at the popular Proletariat Pizza. Brave souls can get up on stage and show the crowd what they've got with karaoke at Mac's Triangle Pub while Roxbury Lanes and Roxy's Casino is open until 2 a.m. for those who need a place open late to settle old scores with some friendly competition.
