A Little About Tacoma

With a motto of “when rails meet sails,” Tacoma is a city that connects its railroad with the bay and is now home to over 202,000 people. It is the third largest city in the state and is located just 32 miles southwest of Seattle and 31 miles northeast of Olympia. The mid-sized urban port city is made up of 62.34 square miles and is part of Pierce County in the Puget Sound Area.

As a city that was named one of the most livable areas in the country, Tacoma has over 20 Zip codes in which its residents are spread amongst.  It is home to a several international companies such as the staffing company, True Blue Inc., labor company Simpson, and food companies Roman Meal and Brown and Haley.This city also contains many centers,museums, has a thriving Theatre District and also has a few military installations nearby. In 1990, the University of Washington established a branch campus here.
